The "World's Most Influential Scientists" research, conducted annually by Stanford University scientists, has been announced. In the list, 1,150 scientists from Turkey ranked among the academics from the best universities in the world.
The list, prepared by Stanford University, was published by the information analysis company 'Elsevier', which is the organization that publishes the most scientific, technical, and medical content in the world. The arrangement was created by considering international academic criteria such as the number of qualified publications, the effect of the journal in which the publications are published, the number of patents, the number of citations, the h-index, the hm-index, the number of articles, and the number of cited articles.
The list, in which the publications of 2020 are ordered according to these criteria, evaluated a total of 190 thousand 64 scientists in the categories of "annual impact" and "career-long impact". Six scientists from BAU in the category of “Annual Effect” are Assoc. Prof. Canan Acar, Assist Prof. Tofigh Allahviranloo, Assoc. Prof. Armağan Fatih Karamanlı, Prof. Dr. Ercan Ertürk, Assist Prof. Soheil Salahshour, Prof. Dr. Serdar Durdağı. Scientists in the “Effect Through Their Career” category are: Assist Prof. Tofigh Allahviranloo, Assoc. Prof. Canan Acar, Prof. Dr. Ercan Ertürk, Prof. Dr. Serdar Durdağı.
